About the candidates:
Boys: Owen Klein – In a major breakout race, the Worthington Kilbourne junior won the Granville Invite 3200 against a tough field, clocking a 26-second personal best of 9:34.
Maxwell Harder – The Upper Arlington senior pulled off an upset in the Joe Lenge 3200, defeating several top competitors and earning a 14-second personal best of 9:36.
Zee Rabi – After a quiet indoor season, the Olentangy Liberty senior appears to be returning to his 2024 outdoor form, running an Ohio #7 time of 4:21.26 in the 1600 at the Delaware Track and Field Invitational.
Kole Hyer – This week’s final nominee spot was highly contested, but it ultimately goes to Hilliard Darby junior Kole Hyer, who ran an 8-second personal best of 4:28.64 in the Joe Lenge 1600.
