Quinn Klamorick:  The Canal Winchester freshman turned heads with an impressive 5:19 victory in the 1600 at the Berlin Invitational. Abbie McBrearty:  The Dublin Jerome senior won a strong 1600 field at the Hilliard Premier in 5:13. Kyla Benedict:  The New Albany sophomore posted a big personal best in the 800, running 2:23 at the Stingel Invite. Kate Michael: The Watkins Memorial sophomore finished runner-up in the 1600 at the Stingel Invite, earning a personal best of 5:19.

Lucas Steele:  The DeSales junior opened his track season in impressive fashion at the Hilliard Premier, capturing the 3200 title in a significant personal best of 9:34. 800m Ashland High Performance This meet clearly stood out as the focal point of the weekend in the 800m, delivering both elite front-end speed and impressive depth. 800m Ashland High Performance Meet There was no shortage of speed across the 800m at the highly competitive Ashland High Performance Meet, as Madison Hobbs, Bridget Snider, and Abigail Young all faced off. Hobbs took the win in 2:16, with Snider and Young running 2:18 and 2:21 respectively, putting their names up at the top of Central Ohio. Winner: Brock Jarrett School:  Lancaster Quote:  “I was just trying to get to the front and be leading going into the stadium the first time and just hold onto the main pack as long as I could.” Highlight: J ust a year ago, Lancaster senior Brock Jarrett finished 68th at the state meet with a time of 16:03. With a stacked field representing multiple regions, Central Ohio’s strength was clear as both the individual and team champions came from programs that had already delivered dominant performances at the Pickerington North Regional a week earlier.
