800m Ashland High Performance This meet clearly stood out as the focal point of the weekend in the 800m, delivering both elite front-end speed and impressive depth. Cameron Carn led the way with a strong 1:53.69, a time that positions him among the top performers in the region and signals sharp early-season fitness. 800m Ashland High Performance Meet There was no shortage of speed across the 800m at the highly competitive Ashland High Performance Meet, as Madison Hobbs, Bridget Snider, and Abigail Young all faced off. Hobbs took the win in 2:16, with Snider and Young running 2:18 and 2:21 respectively, putting their names up at the top of Central Ohio. Winner: Brock Jarrett School:  Lancaster Quote:  “I was just trying to get to the front and be leading going into the stadium the first time and just hold onto the main pack as long as I could.” Highlight: J ust a year ago, Lancaster senior Brock Jarrett finished 68th at the state meet with a time of 16:03. Fast forward to this season, and Jarrett placed 8th overall in an impressive 15:28, marking a major leap in his development as a 5K runner. This performance earns him this

Winner: Ruby Lewis School:  Gahanna Lincoln Quote:  “I had worked really hard this season so I wanted my last state to be a good one!” Highlight:  After the Lady Lions’ incredible season, where they held the number one ranking in the state from start to finish, senior Ruby Lewis capped it off by leading the team to a Division I state title. The Division II Girls State Championship closed out a season of superb racing for teams and individuals across Ohio. With a stacked field representing multiple regions, Central Ohio’s strength was clear as both the individual and team champions came from programs that had already delivered dominant performances at the Pickerington North Regional a week earlier.
