5/10 Girls Runner of the Week

Winner: Minori Hudson
School: Dublin Coffman
Quote: “I’m really looking forward to the rest of the postseason, especially with the amazing competition in all of the distance events.”
Highlight: Dublin Coffman senior Minori Hudson is this week's Runner of the Week after securing a dominant distance double at the Larkin and Crosten Invitational. She won the 1600m in 5:05 and returned to take the 3200m in 11:06. Both performances rank among the top 10 in the region, placing her in elite company.
Hudson is in the midst of a breakout year. After emerging as a standout during the cross country season, she continued her momentum indoors and now into the outdoor season. On the grass, she placed 9th at districts, 23rd at regionals, and capped off her fall with an impressive 34th-place finish at the state meet. Indoors, she dropped a massive PR of 2:15 in the 800m, placing 6th at the Division I state championships. So far this outdoor season (as of 5/09), she's recorded marks of 11:06, 2:21, and 5:05, and has claimed five individual wins.
After delivering her best performances of both the cross country and indoor seasons at their respective state meets, Hudson is poised to be a major factor this postseason. With deep fields ahead, we expect her to seriously contend for one—if not two—state berths at Pickerington North.
