Buckeye Run Report

Winner: Aadi Joshi
School: Olentangy Liberty
“I was tired of waiting around for times to come and started chasing… I was happy with the PR, but I am looking forward to competing this postseason.”
Highlight: One of the key catalysts behind this year’s extremely deep Olentangy Liberty squad is senior Aadi Joshi. Joshi earned your vote for this week’s Runner of the Week after placing 3rd at the Marion Night Invitational with a personal-best time of 1:56.3 in the 800m.
Joshi has put together a strong and versatile season so far. In addition to his 800m performance, he’s already run 4:31 in the 1600m (with a PR of 4:23) and clocked 52.2 in the 400m. His combination of strength and speed makes him a major threat as the postseason approaches. With goals of advancing both individually and on relays, his footspeed could be a difference-maker in the championship rounds.
“[I’m] hoping to advance two relays to the state meet and compete individually,” said Joshi when asked about his goals for the rest of the season. With just a few meets left before the OCC championships begin, keep an eye on Joshi and the entire Olentangy Liberty squad as they look to make a deep postseason run.
