Winner: Logan Behm

School: Hilliard Darby

Quote: “Our team has come a long way over the last few years… Darby will be going to NXR, and my goals there are to PR and compete well”

Highlight:

Hilliard Darby junior Logan Behm had his breakout race at the regional meet, finishing as runner-up and earning our “Runner of the Week” award. After a strong track season, Behm’s performances seemed to level out during the cross country season, until he showed out in a big way for his team. With a previous personal best of 15:42, he dropped his time to 15:18, helping Darby secure regional runner-up honors.

As of November 5th, Behm wasn’t done breaking out. He followed up his regional performance with a 13th-place finish at the OHSAA State Meet, working alongside teammate Kole Hyer to lead their team to a seventh-place overall finish in Division I. Reflecting on his squad, Behm said, “I feel that our team has come a long way over the last few years, and being able to see that evident progression has been truly amazing.”

After the state meet, Behm plans to compete with his team at NXR, sharing that “my goals there are to PR and compete well.” The junior is poised to continue building his resume in the coming distance running seasons, establishing himself as one of the best long-distance runners in Ohio for 2025 and 2026.
