Boys Regionals Runner of the Week Nominees

About the candidates:

Jayden Beverly: After a limited number of 800m races this season, the Chillicothe junior broke through in a big way, winning the regional title and clocking a new personal best of 1:52.46.

Evan Graessle: The St. Charles senior delivered a major performance at the regional meet, improving his personal best from 1:55 to 1:53 in the 800 and securing a wild card spot to qualify for states.

Casey Carlos: The lone junior in Westerville North’s “Big 3,” Carlos ran a personal best of 4:13 in the 1600 to earn his spot at states.

Charlie Guerrera: We debated waiting to nominate him until next week, but the Dublin Jerome senior’s performances were simply too dominant to overlook. He won the regional title in both the 1600 and 3200, defeating stacked fields and breaking the regional record in the 1600 with a 4:05.4.
