Runner of the week nominees

Note: once you select a runner it is counted in our system as a vote. It should still be checked when you re-enter the page. You may change your vote at anytime before voting closes on Tuesday 4/22 at 8pm.

About the candidates:

Marguerite Foust – The Marysville senior had a standout performance at the Delaware Track and Field Invitational, earning personal bests of 5:14 in the 1600 and 11:09 in the 3200—finishing runner-up in both events.

Megan Packard – Mount Vernon sophomore Megan Packard continues to rise, winning the Heath Hank Smith Invitational 800 in a new personal best of 2:22.49.

Laken Wenclewicz – In a surprising upset, our girls' matchup of the week in the Joe Lenge 800 was won not by one of our previewed athletes, but by Hilliard Davidson freshman Laken Wenclewicz, who ran a stellar 2:18.68. (Interestingly, that’s right around where her star teammate Celia Schulte was during this point in her freshman year!)

Brooke Chapman – We typically reserve nominations for top-tier athletes until the postseason, but the Olentangy Orange junior’s performance on Thursday was impossible to overlook. She won the Delaware Track and Field Invitational 1600 in a blistering 4:52.61, which now ranks as Ohio #1 and U.S. #53.
