About the candidates:

Gabe Wise: The Westerville North senior and “Big 3” member earned a personal best by over a second in the 800, finishing 5th at the highly competitive Wayne Invite with a time of 1:54.36.

Andrew Gould: Wise wasn’t the only Westerville runner with a breakout race. Westerville Central sophomore Andrew Gould ran 1:58.81 in the 800 at the Olentangy Invite, in addition to a 4:26 in the 1600 at a tri meet last week—both major personal bests.

Braydon Nix: The Olentangy senior continues to progress this season, with his latest performance coming at his home invite. He won the 1600 against a strong field, clocking 4:24—a five-second personal best.

Aadi Joshi: During Olentangy Liberty’s road trip to the Marion Night Invitational, Joshi ran a big personal best in the 800 with a time of 1:56.32.
