Conferences Runner of the Week Nominees

About the candidates:

Harper Allen: Conferences marked a big day for Allen—it was her first time breaking five minutes in the 1600. Taking down a tough field, she won the event in 4:58, then followed it up with a runner-up finish behind Reese Gallinger in the 800.

Reese Gallinger: The Teays Valley sophomore captured her first conference title in impressive fashion, edging out Harper Allen by less than half a second with a big personal best of 2:19.23 in the 800.

Maya Speed: Like Gallinger, the New Albany sophomore won her first conference title in the 800, clocking a major personal best of 2:19.47.

Audrey Nowell: Finishing just behind Speed in the OCC Ohio 800 was another sophomore—Westerville Central’s Audrey Nowell. She also ran a huge personal best, finishing with a time of 2:20.29.
