About the candidates:

Maddie Hobbs – This is a unique entry on our list. Hobbs, a 7th grader at Pickerington Lakeview Junior High, which feeds into Pickerington North High School, is not someone we would typically include in our coverage. However, given the less formal nature of the indoor season, we wanted to spotlight her incredible performance this weekend. She ran a blistering 2:20.00 at the Ashland High Performance Invite, a time that would rank as the seventh-fastest mark in high school Division 1. We’re excited to see her future in the Central Ohio distance scene!

Minori Hudson – The Coffman senior and past “Runner of the Week” recipient ran an 800m personal best of 2:19.39 at the Ashland High Performance Invite. This mark currently ranks sixth in Division 1.

Erica Kaulen – Continuing the trend of impressive 800m performances from the Ashland High Performance Invite, the Hilliard Davidson runner finished less than a second behind Hudson with a time of 2:20.12, the seventh-fastest mark in Division 1.

Natalie Fouts – The Dublin Jerome junior had an outstanding day, delivering an impressive 1600-3200 double at the Ashland High Performance Invite. She ran two personal bests and top marks with a 5:00.59 in the 1600 and a 10:50.96 in the 3200.
