About the candidates:
Katy Zang – After being sidelined for the entire indoor season, Katy Zang made her return to action last weekend. She ran a new personal best of 10:44 in the 3200 at the Shawnee Seitz Memorial Invitational on Thursday — an impressive solo effort that sets the stage for an exciting 2025 outdoor campaign.
Kate Michael – The Watkins Memorial freshman opened her outdoor season with a stellar 2:22.82 in the 800 to win the Stingel Invitational. With few race results to her name so far, we’re excited to see what her future holds.
Harper Allen – After racing sparingly during the indoor season, the Lancaster junior has come out swinging this spring. Last week, she clocked a new personal best of 5:07.3 in the 1600, placing second at the Stingel Invite.
Addison Caudill – In a solo effort, the Licking Heights junior ran an impressive 11:15 in the 3200, setting a new personal best. That mark currently ranks as the sixth-fastest 3200 in the region.
