About the candidates:

Erica Kaulen - After missing last week’s district race, Kaulen returned in outstanding form, finishing 4th in the region and leading her team to a regional runner-up finish despite other individual setbacks.

Reese Galinger - When teammate Katy Zang suffered an injury mid-race, Galinger stepped up to ensure Teays Valley’s representation at states. She finished 14th, qualifying individually with a solid margin.

Lucy Rush - Previously unranked, Rush delivered a standout performance with a breakout race, dipping under 19 minutes for the first time and securing her spot at states with a 13th-place finish.

Lydia Price - Although Price was ranked within our top 30, we hadn’t projected her to qualify individually. She proved any doubts wrong by not only advancing to states but also earning an impressive 11th-place finish, just shy of the top 10.
