Our expanded boys' rankings are here just in time for the postseason! As the road to states begins, we've extended our individual rankings to highlight the top 20 athletes, all of whom are state qualifiers, along with ten additional runners on the bubble. The depth in this region is unparalleled, and while several strong contenders aren’t listed, many are poised to challenge for a state-qualifying spot. After a thrilling weekend of conference championships, here’s our updated top 30 heading into District Championships!

  1. Charlie Guerrera – After a surprising loss at the Berlin Bear Den Dash, Guerrera made a strong comeback, securing his conference title and reclaiming the #1 spot.

  2. Matthew Schroff – The senior from Olentangy Orange has enjoyed a stellar season, including his first conference title and a region-leading PR of 15:08. Schroff is a serious threat for the regional title.

  3. Tate Ruthers – With a blistering PR of 15:13 and an impressive showing at the Bear Den Dash, Ruthers is one to watch, carrying momentum into the district meet.

  4. Mick Temple – Temple clinched his third straight conference title but needed a fierce kick to edge out Marcus Speed by half a second. Despite an inconsistent season, his history of top performances keeps him firmly in fourth.

  5. Charles Rizek – Rizek capped off his final CCL championships with a win alongside teammate Jacob Reash. His consistency and 15:30 PR land him fifth.

  6. Jacob Reash – The other half of the region’s most formidable duo, Reash shares the CCL title but is just behind Rizek due to a slightly slower PR of 15:36.

  7. Jacob Bolton – Despite some “off” races, Bolton’s PR of 15:31 and runner-up finish at conference behind Schroff make him a strong contender going into districts.

  8. Mulu Ferguson – Ferguson has shown flashes of brilliance this season but has been inconsistent. With a 15:39 PR and a strong postseason track record, he could surprise in the regional meet.

  9. Owen Towler – Known for his 800m prowess, Towler has had a consistent XC season, with a 15:39 PR and one of the region’s best finishing kicks.

  10. Jeffery Kerns – The leader of Westerville North’s "Big 3," Kerns won his conference title and holds a 15:40 PR. He’s set for a strong postseason.

  11. Austin Benedict – The freshman phenom has quickly made a name for himself, sporting a 15:37 PR and proving he can compete with the region’s best.

  12. Bradyn Allender – Allender has been a model of consistency this season, with a 15:40 PR and several strong finishes. He’s key to Olentangy Orange’s state hopes.

  13. Ethan Ishida – Dublin Jerome’s top chaser, Ishida has flown somewhat under the radar despite a 15:36 PR. Expect him to be a major factor at regionals.

  14. Cohen Stump – Stump has raced sparingly but has shown up in key moments. With a 15:37 PR, he could break into the top 10 at districts.

  15. McKinley Norman – Despite a rough conference meet, Norman’s 15:41 PR and state championship experience make him one to watch.

  16. Marcus Speed – After nearly pulling off a massive upset in his conference meet, Speed enters the postseason with momentum and a 15:52 PR.

  17. Casey Carlos – The second member of Westerville North’s "Big 3," Carlos has been remarkably consistent, earning a conference runner-up finish and a 15:50 PR.

  18. Cayden McClure – McClure’s season has had ups and downs, but with a 15:44 PR and strong recent performances, he’s a key figure for Dublin Jerome.

  19. Zeid Rabi – The lead runner for Olentangy Liberty, Rabi has been consistent all year with a 15:48 PR and solid performances at key meets.

  20. Lincoln Kelly – Rounding out the top 20 is Jerome’s fourth man, Kelly, who holds a 15:50 PR and has shown flashes of greatness despite an inconsistent season.
