Buckeye Run Report
Boys Individual Rankings

1. Charlie Guerrera – The new regional champion and recent Syracuse commit, Guerrera has solidified his position as the top runner in the region. His strength and consistency make him a favorite to lead the top pack at states, with a real shot at the individual title.
2. Tate Ruthers – Though Ruthers couldn’t stick with Guerrera’s final push, he ran a strong race and cemented himself as the clear number two. He’s had a solid season, and his endurance and resilience should place him among the leaders at states.
3. Mick Temple – Temple’s third-place finish at regionals confirms his position as a top contender. Although he fell back from Guerrera and Ruthers’ surges, he created a comfortable gap from the rest and should still be competitive at states.
4. Jacob Bolton – Finishing fifth at regionals, Bolton was just behind Allender but has shown season-long consistency. With Schroff’s recent dip, Bolton moves up in the rankings as a reliable performer.
5. Charles Rizek – Rizek’s sixth-place regional finish boosts him in the rankings. His steady performances have kept him competitive all season and will be key at states.
6. Bradyn Allender – Allender’s fourth-place finish at regionals was a breakthrough, showing his ability to challenge the top runners. Despite earlier finishes behind Bolton and Rizek, his form is promising for states.
7. Jeffery Kerns – Kerns held his ground with a solid regional finish, keeping him comfortably in the top 10 and poised for states.
8. Matthew Schroff – Schroff’s fastest time in the region stands, but recent performances have dipped. If he regains form, he’s capable of rising again at states.
9. Marcus Speed – Speed’s momentum is building, with an eighth-place finish at regionals. He’s on a strong postseason streak heading into states.
10. Jacob Reash – Reash slipped slightly in recent weeks but has shown season-long consistency, securing his place in the top 10.
11. Owen Towler – Towler’s regional finish aligns with his ranking. While just outside the top 10, he’s proven he can keep pace with this group.
12. Austin Benedict – As the only freshman to qualify, Benedict’s season and 16th-place regional finish have earned him a spot in the top rankings.
13. McKinley Norman – Norman is finding his rhythm again, with a 12th-place finish that reflects a return to midseason form.
14. Gordon Kimberly – Kimberly’s unexpected ninth-place finish was a crucial contribution to Liberty’s qualification, marking a major breakthrough.
15. Brock Jarrett – Jarrett consistently ranks in the top 20, placing 13th at regionals and reinforcing his standing.
16. Gabe Wise – Wise’s 15th-place finish came with a personal best of 15:51, helping Westerville North secure their regional title.
17. Justin Rona – Rona matched his regional finish with his ranking, staying firmly within the top 20 with back-to-back strong races.
18. Ethan Ishida – Ishida dropped slightly but remains a top-20 competitor who will be key for Dublin Jerome’s team at states.
19. Casey Carlos – Carlos finished 18th, claiming one of the last individual spots and helping North secure the regional title.
20. Owen Kockentiet – Just missing state qualification with a 23rd-place finish, Kockentiet’s solid season rounds out the top 20.
