FINAL Boys Team Rankings

  1. Westerville North - Your Final #1 team in the region is the Warriors from Westerville North. While it wasn't a standout day for the Warriors, that was the unfortunate theme across Central Ohio. They ended their season with a 9th-place finish, edging out Dublin Jerome for the second consecutive week. They were led once more by Jeffrey Kerns, who placed 29th, backed by solid races from Casey Carlos (46th) and Gabe Wise (71st). Off days from Charlie Bosler (108th) and Jordan Mazak (130th) cost the Warriors a substantial number of points. The team will look to bounce back and show their full potential if they choose to compete in a national postseason meet.

  2. Dublin Jerome - After a runner-up performance last week at the Regional Championships, we gave the Celtics the benefit of the doubt and kept them in the #1 position. Though they only lost to Westerville North by a single point on Saturday, back-to-back losses led to this drop in rank. Charlie Guerrera finished in the top 10 to lead the Celtics, and a strong performance from Cayden McClure (49th) saw him finish as the team’s #2 runner. However, a major off day from usual #2, Ethan Ishida (111th), proved costly in their overall finish. Like the Warriors, if the Celtics choose to compete again this season, they’ll be aiming to return to full strength.

  3. Olentangy Orange - The boys from Orange impressed, highlighted by a comeback race from Matthew Schroff (12th) and continued excellence from Braydn Allender (15th), giving the Pioneers the second-best scoring duo up front. Unfortunately, their back three scorers all finished outside the top 100, accumulating too many points to place them in the top 10. While they may be disappointed by their 11th-place finish, they were only 14 points behind Westerville North. If the Pioneers decide to continue their season, Schroff and Allender will be key athletes to watch.

  4. St. Francis DeSales - The front-running trio of the Stallions once again proved their strength. Despite off days from Jacob Reash (56th) and Charles Rizek (59th), Ashton Boyd held strong with an impressive 66th-place finish. Even with their 5th runner scoring 114 points, the Stallions managed to hold off Olentangy Liberty for a 14th-place finish, the fourth team from Central Ohio. If they opt for a national postseason race, their front-running trio will be ones to watch closely.

  5. Olentangy Liberty - The Patriots ended their season with a 15th-place finish at the State Championships at Fortress Obetz, ranking as the fifth Central Ohio team. The team’s top runner was Zeid Rabi, who finished 80th, followed closely by Gordon Kimberly (83rd) and Louis Perry (89th). Off days from Rabi and Kimberly hindered their performance, contributing to Central Ohio’s overall struggles. While it’s unclear if the Patriots will continue their season, this has undoubtedly been a successful year for them.
