Girls Post-Regionals Rankings (Individual)

  1. Brooke Chapman - There's a new #1 in town and it’s none other than Regional Champion Brooke Chapman. Chapman has proven time and time again that she can win when it matters. While the season ending injury to Katy Zang is heartbreaking news to everybody, it left the door open for somebody to steal the Regional crown and Chapman did just that. Riding a high wave of momentum Chapman will now look to give Daniela Scheffler a run for her money at Fortress Obetz for the state title.

  2. Marisa Heil - The leader of the regional champion Lancaster Golden Gales, Marisa Heil took home regional runner up honors, finishing just 5 seconds behind Chapman. Chapman and Heil surged strong and left the rest of the field in their wake as Heil bested 3rd place by over 30 seconds. With a team state title on the line next weekend, Heil will look to rise to the occasion once more in hopes to deliver the race that brings home the state title to Lancaster.

  3. Elena Aldrink - Our pick to win the regional title if anything happened to Zang was Elena Aldrink. While she couldn’t quite bring home the title, she still finished a respectable 3rd. It was a bit concerning to see Aldrink fall over 30 seconds back from Heil and Chapman, but let's not look past the fact that the last runner to defeat Chapman this year is Aldrink. Having put together a strong season so far and proving she can compete with the best in the region and state, Aldrink will look for one final dominant performance in Ohio this coming weekend.

  4. Erica Kaulen - Welcome back Erica Kaulen, and back with a bang she is. After not competing at the District Championships for an unknown reason, she returned to action in a major way this weekend, taking home a 4th place finish at the Regional Championships. Kaulen led the Wildcats by herself as usual racing partner Celia Schulte faultered. Kaulen will hope to have her duo partner back as the Wildcats plot revenge on the Golden Gales to take home the state title.

  5. Bella Conforti - Our highest ranked #2 scorer in the region, Bella Conforti remains in the top pack in the region following a 5th place finish at Pickerington North. The Olentangy Orange Sophomore makes up the back half of the region's best duo and will hope to pair up with teammate Brooke Chapman to bring home a pair of top 10 finishes at the state championships this coming weekend. Conforti’s big time performance helped propel Orange from a bubble team to a 4th place finish and comfortably finish as a team state qualifier.

  6. Natalie Fouts  - Rounding out the lead pack of the region's best runners is Dublin Jerome's Natalie Fouts. The past few weeks we identified these top 6 girls as the lead pack and they have not disappointed. Fouts finished 6th and put a 17 second gap on 7th place. The Celtics Junior has been extremely consistent all year long and is a major reason for the team success of Dublin Jerome. She’ll look to contend for a top 10 finish this weekend at states.

  7. Harper Allen - Our leader of the chase pack is breakout star Harper Allen. Allen burst onto the scene not long ago and has done nothing but shoot up the rankings since her arrival. Her continuation of incredible performances was a major reason the Golden Gales were able to bring home the state title. The Lancaster Junior outscored the Wildcats #2 scorer by 15 points in what was a 23 point margin of victory for the Golden Gales. Allen will look to continue her momentum at the state championships this weekend.

  8. Kaitlyn Van Zandt - Van Zandt finds herself inside our top 10 this week after an impressive 8th place finish this weekend. Van Zandt was the first Freshman across the line this weekend and is the top ranked Freshman in our rankings. Van Zandt will be flying solo at this weekend's state championships as her Bishop Watterson Eagles failed to qualify as a team and they didn’t place another individual in the top 50.

  9. Lainey Fauth - Fauth perfectly matched our prediction this past weekend with a 9th place finish, and in doing so holds strong in the 9th position in our ranking for another week. The Thomas Worthington Sophomore led a trio of 18:31 performances and comfortably qualified to the state championships. Although, she’ll join Van Zandt on the list of lonely qualifiers who didn’t have their team or any teammates qualify with her.

  10. Marguerite Foust - After her breakthrough OCC’s race, Foust has been a staple in our rankings right around the 10th position. She’s continued her postseason success and consistency with a 10th place finish this past weekend and will look to keep it rolling for 1 more race at Fortress Obetz. While the Monarchs of Marysville weren't able to qualify to states as a team, she’ll be joined by teammate Bailey Gross.

  11. Mia Eberhardt - Another consistent postseason performer this year has been Pickerington North Senior Mia Eberhardt. She took full advantage of racing on her home course and took home a 12th place finish that saw her easily qualify to the coming weekend's state championship race. Eberhardt will be lone representative for the Panthers at Fortress Obetz.

  12. Helen Randolph - The back half of the Celtics front running duo is Dublin Jerome Senior and defending regional champion Helen Randolph. While we’re sure it hasn’t quite been the season she’d hoped for, Randolph continues to play a vital role in the team success of the Celtics and they will look to continue their success at Fortress Obetz this coming weekend.

  13. Ruby Lewis - The Gahanna Lincoln Senior has continued her postseason tear with a 17th place finish, earning her a spot at the upcoming state championships. She won’t be alone though, as she led her Lady Lions squad to a team state qualifying 5th place finish, and just 1 point back from 4th place Olentangy Orange.

  14. Bailey Gross - The second of the 2 Monarchs is Senior Bailey Gross. She teams up with Marguerite Foust forming a formidable front 2. Unfortunately the high powered duo wasn’t able to lead their team to a state berth, but they will be looking to cap off their respective seasons with a bang at Fortress Obetz.

  15. Reese Galinger - Galinger had a great day, finishing 14th overall and ended leading her Teays Valley squad after the injury to Katy Zang. Galinger’s impressive performance has earned her a spot inside our top 15, and more importantly, a spot to compete at the state championships this coming weekend.

  16. Grace Heitkamp - Heitkamp makes a return to our top 20 following a bounce back race that saw her finish 15th and earn a state qualifying spot. After making lots of noise in the early/mid season with a PR of 18 minutes, Heitkamp had been struggling to find that form again. It seems she’s finally found her stride again, and if she further improves upon her regional race she could find herself further up in the mix come state championships then many would expect.

  17. Lydia Price - One of the breakout runners of the day was Marion Harding Junior Lydia Price. Price finished 11th in 18:31, less than second away from 9th place. Her breakthrough skyrocketed her up our rankings from 28th to 17th. Price will look to keep the momentum rolling at Fortress Obetz this weekend as the only athlete competing for Marion Harding.

  18. Lucy Rush - The biggest breakout of the day came from Mount Vernon Junior Lucy Rush, who took home a 13th place finish, earning her spot at the upcoming state championships. She goes from unranked all the way up 18th in our rankings. She’ll be the lone representative for Mount Vernon this coming weekend.

  19. Josie Cox - Continuing our streak of athletes who are the lone qualifier from their school is Josie Cox, a Sophomore from Upper Arlington. She led her Golden Bears to a great team race, placing 7th overall, the top team to not qualify for the state championships. Cox has been putting in consistently good performances and will look to continue that streak at Fortress Obetz.

  20. Kaylen Goss - Rounding out our top 20 is Logan Sophomore Kaylen Goss. Goss grabbed a 19th place finish to keep her season alive for another week. She also continues the trend as she also is the lone qualifier from Logan.
