  1. Hilliard Davidson - Remaining at the top of our rankings as they head into the postseason, the ladies from Hilliard Davidson recently claimed a dominant conference title. With a lethal 1-2 punch and an exceptionally strong pack, the Wildcats are well-positioned to carry their success through districts, regionals, and beyond.

  2. Lancaster - Boasting the strongest scoring five on paper, the Lancaster Gales slide into second place when considering their resume and quality of victories. However, they are not far behind Hilliard Davidson. With a formidable front-running duo and impressive 3-5 finishers, this matchup promises to be thrilling. We eagerly anticipate watching these two teams clash multiple times this postseason to determine who truly deserves the top spot in the region.

  3. Dublin Jerome - While we don’t foresee Dublin Jerome overtaking the teams ranked above them, they are poised to comfortably qualify for the state championships this year—barring any injuries or unforeseen circumstances. Led by their in-form superstar, Natalie Fouts, who recently captured an individual conference title while guiding the Celtics to a team victory, Jerome is undeniably one of Ohio's elite teams, despite a chase pack that may not quite measure up to Davidson or Lancaster.

  4. Olentangy Liberty - Mirroring Dublin Jerome's strengths, Olentangy Liberty is led by an in-form front runner, Elena Aldrink, who recently secured an individual conference title. The Patriots aim to return to the state championship stage with a robust chase pack that positions them as the final lock for a state meet appearance.

  5. Gahanna Lincoln - The Lady Lions are our favorites in the battle for the last two state qualifying positions, following a commanding victory at the conference championships, where they finished 2-6. Their confidence is high as they enter the postseason. While they may lack a superstar low stick, their 2-4 runners are formidable, and despite some uncertainty in the fifth scoring position, we believe they have sufficient depth to secure a spot at states.

  6. Olentangy Orange - Our final projected state qualifier is Olentangy Orange, largely thanks to the presence of the region's top duo, Brooke Chapman and Bella Conforti. While their top pair is among the best, there is work to be done for their fourth and fifth runners. However, their sixth runner is not far behind, providing a safety net if needed. With solid performances from their 4-6 runners at regionals, we expect them to be competing at Fortress Obetz.

  7. Bishop Watterson - The good news for Bishop Watterson is their conference title victory. However, the absence of star front runner Kaitlyn Van Zandt raises concerns. If she was merely resting, the Eagles could be strong contenders among the bubble teams vying for the final state qualifying positions. But if her absence is due to a more serious issue, they may struggle to compete for a state berth.

  8. Marysville - Marysville pulled off a stunning upset against Olentangy Berlin this past weekend, moving them firmly into the bubble discussion. While our initial bubble watch last week didn’t include either Marysville or Big Walnut (ranked 9th this week), both teams have shown they will be serious contenders for state qualification. Led by Bailey Goss, Marysville’s postseason charge has been bolstered by Marguerite Foust's outstanding performance, creating a potent 1-2 punch along with a solid 3-5 lineup.

  9. Big Walnut - Like Marysville, Big Walnut has emerged from outside our bubble watch to stake a claim for state qualification. The Eagles recently clinched their conference title, with Leigha Kay establishing herself as a potential individual state qualifier. Their 2-5 scorers displayed depth and consistency, making them a formidable contender for a state meet berth.

  10. Olentangy Berlin - The battle among six bubble teams culminates with Olentangy Berlin, led by star low stick Grace Heitkamp and a strong supporting pack that includes her sister, Claire. However, concerns arise from recent inconsistent performances from Grace and the drop-off from their fifth to sixth runner. If Grace can regain her form and finish in the top 10 at regionals, the Bears will need their 2-5 runners to perform well to secure a spot at the state championships, even as our 10th-ranked team.
