Week of 8/23 Boys Runner of the Week Nominees

Runner of the Week?

  • Mick Temple

  • Calvin Watson

  • Gordon Kimberly

  • Cowen Allender

Boys:

Mick Temple – The Pickerington North senior opened the season in style, winning his home meet by over 20 seconds and running a state-leading time of 15:05. This performance cements him as a top contender for the individual state title.

Calvin Watson – The Thomas Worthington freshman ran a blistering 15:45 in just his second-ever high school 5K at the Big Walnut Eagle Twilight. If Watson can continue this hot streak, he will become one of the best freshmen the region has ever seen.

Gordon Kimberly – The Olentangy Liberty senior finished third at the Pickerington North XC Classic, running a sizable personal best of 15:33. Watch for him to compete for All-Ohio honors in November.

Cowen Allender – The Olentangy Orange junior leveled up at the Big Walnut Eagle Twilight, running a personal best of 16:08 and scoring as his team’s top runner to kick off the post-Matthew Schroff era.
